Summer work, Warmia and Mazury

From June till October 2005 I did a summer work. For this work a had to travel a lot in the Warmia-Masuria Province. During this time I took a lot of pictures. This time I show you some landscape photos, next time I will show you my first macro photos. Do you like to travel for your work? What kind of work do you like the most?

Relaxing moments, Baltic Sea

Here are some photos made at the Baltic Sea in 2005, in the cities GdaƄsk and Ustka. The photos were taken in the winter time. I like the sea at this season, when there are not many people. The sound of the sea is ideal for relax, concentration and meditation. The sound of water can help you fall asleep. I put usually the sound of nature on before sleep. I use the Insight Timer, very good application for meditation and relax. Do you like sea in winter? Does the sound of water relax you? What are your ways to relax?

First experience with a digital camera, Bieszczady Mountains

In May 2005 I went to the Polish part of Bieszczady Mountains to do a workshop with Scientific Botany Club. It wasn't my first trip with the Club but it was the first time I took my camera with me. The trip was very interesting and I could admire beautiful landscapes, but the most of the photos I had taken, I had to delete later. My first photo session wasn't successful. I had no idea about the settings. Most photos were too dark and not really sharp. But you know, memories are more important than photos :). What was your first experience with a camera? Did you have to remove some photos? Maybe you had learned the setting before?

Introduction

My adventure with a digital camera began in 2005, when I was a student. I took my compact camera everywhere I went. Two years later I bought a reflex camera, which I still use. Since 2005 I have made a lot of photos and some of them I would like to show you. This blog is a collection of my favorite photos. The blog name refers to to the lens which I currently use, little Nifty Fifty Canon EF 50mm f/1.8. It's small and light and ideal to be taken on a trip. This prime lens is also challenging for me. I like the idea to move every time I would like to get a better composition. So dear reader, please enjoy the pictures.
